FUE and DHI are the two most talked-about hair transplant techniques. The truth is neither is universally "better", they're tools, and the right one depends on you.
What they have in common
Both extract individual follicular units from a donor area and relocate them. Both can deliver beautiful, natural results in skilled hands.
The key difference
With FUE, the specialist creates recipient sites first, then places the grafts. With DHI, a specialised implanter pen creates the site and places the graft in a single step, allowing very precise control of angle, depth and density.
When we lean towards each
- FUE, larger areas and full-scalp restoration.
- DHI, refined hairline detail and dense packing, sometimes with reduced shaving.
Technique matters, but artistry and honest planning matter more.
